The hybrid technology is excellent with stop/start plus, albeit limited, ability to run on electric power alone. All works as advertised. Paint could be better as it is wearing out on top of the cargo door by the roof line. The fuel economy is super. It is comfortable on long trips and sat radio takes care of the entertainment. It also has an Ipod connect feature.

I've just begun researching the Mercury Mariner Hybrid. It seems this site does have a fair amount of information on this vehicle, but I'd like to see a comparison page to match it against other SUVs in its class.

This SUV is easy on the wallet as well as spacious and comfortable. It has the patented fantastic hybrid braking system and smooth maneuvering with a quick and powerful response to the gas pedal. I never had any trouble merging onto the Houston freeways or moving through traffic. Some of the features include: leather seats, steering wheel and gear shift, moonroof, electric doors and windows and driver seat, cargo cover, roof rack, pop-up tailgate glass, intermittent front and back wipers, rear defrost, child safety locks, dusk sensing headlights, mp3 input, 2 charger ports, 2 remote entry keys, door keypad, satellite radio enabled, upgrade stereo package, 6 CD changer, child anchor/tether system, tachometer, trip computer, external thermometer, compass, split lay flat 2nd row bench. There are a few dings and scratches. The car has never been in an accident and the maintenance has been consistent. This is a great car and we are sorry to see it go but we are needing to trim our budget right now.
