This is my wife's SUV and it gets great gas mileage for a big car (28mpg HW). So much room its great, and rides really nice. It only has an inline 4 engine, so the power isn't the best, but the gas mileage is worth it. Its not 4x4, but since its front wheel drive (which shocked me) it does very well in the snow. No maintenance issues with the SUV so far either, so that is great!

Reviewed a 2008 Mazda i Sport on Oct. 30, 2010

Cheap to buy, cheap to insure, cheap to fuel. Excellent cargo space for the $. Feels relatively well put together for a Ford. Recently lost a race to a riding mower in it. This one is the base model with manual trans. Could only imagine how boring it would be with an automatic gearbox, much less 4WD to weigh it down. Gets great freeway mileage. I flogged it from KC to Atlanta and back last spring...averaged 28mpg.
