Used 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt for Sale near Saskatchewan

(102 reviews)The look of the car is great and it very comfortable. My car is very quiet since i bought it brand new. This car is great because it rarely ever need to go to the garage and it was only for check ups and ordinary things. Another thing to love about this car is that the gas mileage is outstanding. For how small the engine is in the car the acceleration picks up fast. The braking and handling are very good. This car is very enjoyable to have especially for crusing around.
Fully loaded with 7 speaker Pioneer sound system that includes amped up tweeters and 10 inch sub. 17 inch wheels. Pirelli tires.
I bought a used 2008 Cobalt LT2 with only 13,900 miles on it back in March of 2009 and I absolutely love it! Great acceleration, stops on a dime, and with the full-time all-speed traction control coming from the front wheels (standard on LT2 models), it makes evasive maneuvering a breeze. Plus the rear spoiler helps during windy conditions. Appearance- wise, this car is not a show car, as the cheap plastic interior and its plain exterior looks are self-explanatory. But that has never bothered me. Plus, with the huge hidden trunk as well as fold down rear seats add versatility to such a small car. Though the opening to the trunk could be a little larger in my opinion. Gas mileage is good, though it is no Honda Civic. The front ventilated rotors only needed to be adjusted once though as well as the rear drums needing to be cleaned. But other than that, just the usual oil change/tune-up. The cloth seats are comfortable for commuting, as they are not too plush, yet not too firm. I would highly recommend getting the LT2 model or higher as anything below that lacks a load of comfort and convenience features. Fun Factor - This car IS FUN TO DRIVE! Great for a long commute as well as in the city. The acceleration is also good with its 2.2 Liter engine and, it also hugs turns quite well on winding roads. All in all, I would highly recommend this car to anyone who's looking for a reliable everyday car with many different configurations to boot at a very affordable price.

I wasn't expecting much out of the Cobalt considering that the previous car was a Cavalier which were almost all bad. This is probably the most common car I drive at work so I can give a rough sense of whether they made several good or bad ones. Performance-wise its not brilliant at anything, its not horrible either. The engine does produce nice hp and torque numbers but doesn't seem to translate in the feeling of power. Handling is ok, once again it feels average, the steering is a bit loose and the turning circle is ok. It has some potential which is probably why the SS version is reasonably popular, buy that instead of a regular one if you want a good drive. Build quality varies on each Cobalt. A good number of them manage to be built properly, but some will produce rattles even at 5000 kms on the odo. Quality issues, the starter can be a bit of a problem when it ages to 50,000-60,000 kms since a few of the 07s refuse to allow the key to start it up. Considering how many examples weren't that bad, it might actually be ok. The Cobalt LS particularly has nearly no options so I'm not sure how well certain power options work like ABS, power windows, locks, etc. They all have gas hood struts oddly enough along with an auxiliary port for your MP3. Fuel economy is not a big strong suit of the engine so it will guzzle more fuel than the equivalent Civic and Corolla. Its not as horrible as a Caliber fortunately. In very low speed hits, it might not take any damage due to the plastic bumpers. More serious damage however will write the car off since it depreciates badly. In terms of looks the 4-doors are really anonymous. The 2-door variant has a decent rear end with Corvette inspiration but still has a generic front end.
