Safe, capable SUV with great visibility that is easy to drive and reliable. It served us well and we would buy another if we were looking for a mid-size SUV. It has more cargo capacity than most competitors and a great suspension.

Nimble with a great wide stance. Smooth ride on the highway and quick acceleration. The navagation is not great but it has never failed to get me where I'm going. Gas mileage is not the best but this is a heavy truck so what can you say. Overall trim is nice to the touch and functionality. It really is the Cayanne minus about $40k.

Simply put, the Volkswagen Touareg is wunderbar. It provides a welcomed blend of comfort and utility. You can drive in comfort with heated leather seats, automatic rain-sensing wipers and dual climate controls. But the Touareg is equally at home off road; full-time 4Motion keeps all four tires planted even when maneuvering at high speeds on gravel roads.
