Used 2005 Toyota RAV4 for Sale near Vancouver, BC
The 2005 Toyota RAV4 blends refined driving characteristics with a capable layout, so you'll be ready regardless of where your weekend adventures take you.
The RAV4 is a step in a different direction for the sport utility vehicle segment. There are many large truck-based SUVs that boast large engines and plenty of seats, but these large vehicles do not suit everyone. Not only are these vehicles quite thirsty, but they are often simply too large for city dwellers. More practically, they are just more vehicle than many drivers need.
The “RAV” in RAV4 stands for “Recreation Activity Vehicle,” and it speaks to the nature of the plucky Toyota ‘ute. The RAV4 has the space and capability for weekend adventures, and yet, it has a comfortable ride for the weekday commute. 2005 marks the final model year of the second-generation Toyota RAV4, as it will soon be replaced by an all-new fourth-generation model in 2006. The RAV4 competes with the Honda CR-V, the Ford Escape, the Hyundai Santa Fe, and the Mazda Tribute as mini-SUVs.
4.3 Overall rating
(21 reviews)The 2005 RAV4 was said to be one of the most reliable along with the 2006.
This car never brakes downs since I have had it. It runs perfectly, only oil, tire, and brake changes. It's a very good reliable car to buy. This 2005 RAV4 is great in gas and snow. It is not luxury.
I have been driving my family's Rav-4 for over 3 years. They had an earlier model and then renewed their lease with an updated version. The Rav-4 is an excellent combination of a roomy SUV with a more versatile driving ability. I'm able to drive my friends and our snowboarding gear up to the mountains, yet I'm still able to parallel park the car with ease. I like the new sleek look of the 2006 model, but I think that it is much bigger and therefore pushes the Rav-4 squarely into the SUV camp, reducing its appeal among the people who want a smaller but roomy car, and also causing it to compete with larger SUV's who have been in that particular market for longer. Now instead of being compared to the Honda CR-V (over which it clearly wins in my opinion), it competes with the SUV's of Lexus, Nissan, and others. However, the RAV-4 has been a consistently comfortable and competent car that I continue to enjoy driving.
Car with great performance for acceleration, braking and handling. with very low cost of ownership, compared to other SUV. 22/29 gas mileage.Car very funny to drive, easy to park. Interior and exterior in very good condition. It doens't need any repair.
This car is very convenient with a nice look and character. It has extremely low maintenance cost as there has never been any issue. Also gas costs are much lower than my other SUV. Handling is very easy and driving is very stable. Kids love it.
