Love it now, hated it stock

This car can handle hard times. The interior is better than the previous SL1, featuring great seats and a classy dash layout. While the CD player in that dash is very prone to failure in extreme heat or cold, it can be replaced. Unfortunately, such replacement costs a lot of money since so much of the car is wired through the radio harness. The audio is below average, but that's upgradable as well. The handling impressed me, and the acceleration was familiar since the Cobalt uses the same motor as the SL1. It's a little heavier than the Saturn, but it looks so much better that it doesn't matter. Also, the Cobalt responds very well to quality performance parts. I added a Magnaflow catback exhaust and an AEM cold- air intake to gain a little power with much success. This is definitely better than the average 4-banger.

The trunk is huge if you need room in a 2 door coupe, this would be your ticket, it also has a decent amout of back seat space and head room. For a base coupe the 2.0l 4 cylinder engine has got a decent amout of balls for a 4 banger. It governs at 170 thought =(, so thats kinda bummer. Parts to improve the car thought are not that terribly expensive.

the cobalt has been good to me, reliable, only needed basic maintenance, looks good, fun to drive for what u get, that's not saying its really as fun to drive as a luxury car but for a cheap Chevy its good
