This is the best truck I have ever owened! It does ride like a truck, so if you want a truck that rides like a car buy a Highlander, they are built to ride like a car a Toyota Camry in fact. My son was involved in a very bad accident in a 2005 version of my 4 runner. A loaded dump truck pulled out in front of my son only able to get up to 8 mph. My son was going 55 mph in the left lane of a major highway just slightly ahead of a fully loaded log truck in the right lane. My son locked the brakes swerved hit the lt rear end with his lt front end of the dump truck. My son was then horizontal in the middle of the highway & the log truck struck the 4 runner broadside on the driver side going 55 mph, fliped the 4 runner over 3 times & came to rest on top of my sons 4 runner. It took 3 tow trucks to remove the log truck off of the 4 runner. My son was trapped for 2 hours. Yes my son was hurt.., however he did not die,he is not paralyzed & his brain was never injured! I believe the many safety features & many air bags of this Toyota 4 runner helped to save his life.

poor paint. ridiculously expensive repairs, most of which are not warrantied.
