(10 reviews)This big safe family suv drives extremely well once you add a K&N filter to it. It's a massive cardboard air-filter originally and it chokes the engine. Just buy a high quality airfilter like K&N or something even nicer and then it can spin up to 6K rpms in seconds and really go. It has a lot more pickup in the 4.2L inline then you would expect. Smooth comfortable ride. The suspension is a good set from the factory, but they wear out at about 70k with normal city use. The springs were also shot and needed to be replaced. The brakes lasted forever, I remember pulling the tires off at 75K and looking at half the pad still there and shaking my head going "really?" The need for the aftermarket high quality air filter is pretty extreme. When we first bought the Chevy it has so little power that we considered returning it to the dealer. After just the air filter change it went from sluggish and horrid to a high revving joy. It isn't a sports car by any means but it is a decent drive.
I absolutely love this truck! Fully loaded with more features than I could have imagined. Heated seats, electric everything, rear defrost, wiper, heated mirrors and more. What really got me is 7 passenger with cargo room. Heated mirrors cd player, etc. I bought this truck used for 3500.00 3 years ago with 142,000 miles. I’m currently at 163,000 where things started breaking down. Took it to a shop and they told me all the parts were originall. It needed a tune up, new battery, new filters, oil change, and new brakes. This vehicle has never failed me. I can drive with red, 4wd, 4low, 4 hi. Fantastic investment! I’d compare this to the gmc denali, Cadillac Escalade
A good Chevy car with a big engine to rely on, in all conditions. V6 4.2 L You can go anywhere and enjoy. Very spacy you can move and live inside it :) Very thirsty for fuel :) Enjoy ON-Road and OFF-Road trips
I love my 2003 Trailblazer. It has good acceleration for a 4.2L inline 6, brakes are very good. For a small wheel base, the vehicle handles very well. Although the fenders are built of flimsy metal, the build quality is good. It has a sporty look for the outside for a SUV and the inside is very nicely set up. I get at 14 mpg city and 22 mpg highway. I love this car.
the in line 6 is very very bad on gas. it does have some power. the brakes are ok also. i have 143,000 miles and i already replaced the trans, front and rear transfer case and axels, 4wd, power steering and motor but i drove like an ass and pulled stuff i shouldnt have
