This has been a great family car, with kids that drive now no need for a vehicle with so many seats. It is very spacious and good for long road trips. It is a smooth ride and a comfortable one too. Maintenance and fuel costs have not been very high. It is easy to handle, acceleration is pretty powerful, and it has good brakes. Its been a very safe car, and never been in a wreck.

Got this van as a second car for the family from my mother who got it from her mother years before, so it was a family affair. By the time we had it, it was well over 100,000 miles, so it had seen better days. A few issues were the brakes not working well & eventually going out entirely while on the highway (which was our fault for ignoring the signs), but in its day it was well equipped. If you find a low mileage one, definitely take it, just have the mechanic look it over first!

The performance was ok. It was up around 130k and the window motor on the driver side and the auto rear door were dead. Here's the problem with this thing, as well as most mini vans - You can't get to the freakin heads without pulling the engine. That alone adds hundreds if not thousands to a repair bill if you ever need to change a gasket or whatnot and don't have the know how to do it yourself. And with GM pushing you to use Dexcool in this thing, you eventually will need to change at least a gasket b/c it eats em like they're jelly filled.

Lets see... new engine after owning it 30 days... does that say anything??? It's a mom van, what do i expect..the thing smells from all the crap my kids have spilled in it over the years. I'd rather own a chevy...I can't believe I just typed that.
