It's a great car, really tough... Great for 4x4 experience. More conforable that the older version and the engine is really great. No need for the 3500 cc engine. Fun and safe to drive. Totally recomended! Good gas milage for the engine.

Love the engine and the grip

This is the first car I have purchased, its a fairly powerful engine with solid pickup and a smooth ride. I bought it with 154,000 miles so i have had to put a lot of money into it fixing it up, and bow its as good as new...almost lol

Mitsubishi monteros are built like tanks and won the Paris-Dakar rally for many years. The 1999 Montero is the last year with this frame style and build. We previously owned a 1989 Montero and drove it for 280,000 miles before selling it (it still ran!). We love our Montero for taking off roading and camping while still using it as a daily driver.
