Standard, 4WD with 200HP+ has a hypertech chip on it. Also built a brush bar for it but not pictured.
guy i got it from dropped in an engine from an older s10. really reliable. it gets between 20 and 22 mpg on the highway. its not so bad. has a really nice sound system with inverted subs and, mids, and tweets to swirl the sound around you in the car. makes castles in the sand (hendrix) ridiculous. this thing is built real tough too. some guys hit me the other day and muffed up their lexus with my tow hitch and i didn't get a scratch.
i was givin this car from my grandparents b4 my grandpa passed it was a cool car but i just never got into driving it when i got this i already had a 06 grand cheeroke larado so it was kind of a down grade
This car is my vision of an honestly mediocre car. The 4.3L V6 did what it was built to do. It wasn't fast, but didn't have a problem getting up to speed, and made a whole lot of noise in the process. I always thought it was an unusually loud motor, but with an engine that big, it wont be quiet. The build wasn't terrible, but definitely had lots of room for improvement. The first thing I did when I bought the car was flush out the Dexcool--something I'd recommend everyone does if they own this car. In the 5 months I owned it (bought used at the end of 2006 with 150K+ miles), I had to replace the transmission and had an incessant problem with the EGR valve causing misfires. The interior was a classic GM interior: cheap. Not a whole lot else to that. It wasn't a pretty car, but the previous owner kept the paint in amazing condition. The cost of owning this car, as compared to what it was used for, was far too high, which was half the reason I got rid of the car. The other reason (a big one for me) was that it was an automatic. I cannot stand automatic transmissions, which also counts into the fun factor. It was a great car for snow, but thats all it really excelled at. Otherwise, I found it rather mundane. If you want a questionably reliable daily driver capable of tackling a good bit of snow, as well as the occasional towing, this is a good car for you. If you just want a daily driver that will get you from point A to point B, I'd recommend against this.
