Good multi-purpose small stationwagon. 140 ks per hour on autobahn no problem , without a big thirst. Sleeps 3 in back when must. Tows a one ton trailer good. Good european design and engineering. Eat your heart out primitive overweight gas guzzlers.... for short >> yanks.

This is a great car for getting around on. The maintenance is very reasonable also. I get great mileage and drive for a weeks on one tank of gas. Ive driven this car on long trips and its very comfortable to drive.

I love this car and would be happy to buy another one like it if it was still made today. See my pros and cons for detailed description of my experience driving this car. It is very similar to the Saturn SW line which I have also driven, but is better-designed.

Great overall car. I have only had minor issues with it since I bought it in 95. I have put 165000 miles on it and the only wok other than maintenance has been replacing the timing belt. I will buy another ford escort I think in the future.
