Overall the best platform Vw has ever built. Power is not impressive but still fun to drive. Has the 2.0L 8V I-4 that is almost indestructible and is very cheap and easy to maintain. This is the perfect car for any car enthusiast. Takes corners beautifully and can stop itself pretty well for the 10.1" braking system. Space inside the car is by no means spacious but it is comfortable. All guages are lit in a factory green glow and are easily read. Cargo room is there but not a great deal of it in the hatch, but the back seat folds down easily to make the extra room. You will be amazed at how much you can stuff in there.

122HP, 2.0L gasoline engine provides good acceleration, but eats a lot - around 12 liters/100km. maintenance is cheap thanks to the availability of cheap spare parts. i personally like the appearance of the car. it looks good, just wash and wax it from time to time :)

Horrible car. Reliability is worse than anything I have ever driven. In two years my sister suffered many breakdowns. This includes two power steering pumps, alternator, oil sending unit, two sets of brakes (pads and rotors) and she did not ride the brakes. Other than that a light always came on when driving at 2,000 rpms and beeped obnoxiously at you, but only at that engine speed.

Having spent a lot of money and time on the car, I have learnt to look past the little problems and see the big picture. The car is great and I will most probably never sell it. Its not too light on fuel, but hey, worse things have happened. :) Kthxbye.

i love the cuteness, the response to acceleration. the suspension is nothing to write home about,and of course the A/C is wonderfull. fuel efficient. yes the car is fun to drive. the cost of ownership is subjective,the braking is super,the interior and exterior is just right.
