(7 reviews)I have beat the crap out of this car for years and it refuses to die. I even turbocharged the engine (using a turbo from Dodge Stealth R/T) for a year and it only ruined the transmission. Things continue to break on the car but the automatic windows, locks, and engine have remained solid. Even when I think this car is dead, a few repairs bring it back to life. It was my first car and has outlasted and has survived today while other cars I have driven have died.
We have had this van for years and it is still running suprisingly! It looks really bad but it is a trooper. It doesn't cost too terribly much to fill the tank. I however don't like driving it too much.
Ever since I owned this Voyager I have wanted another minivan. I think vans are really fun to drive, love the visibility from driver's seat. Gas mileage was sub par. Transmission issues since the day I picked it up, very expensive to maintain. Looks like a van, I don't like how vans look from exterior. Spacious interior, seats easily removable to suit your needs. This van hit a deer, then I took it into a demo derby, took 1 hit, and the transmission cracked in half (Build quality sucks). Acceleration is okay, braking is super responsive (be careful with that middle pedal). Handling sucks, but again I loved driving it.
Performance - okay acceleration, braking, handling Build Quality - oh boy has it needed repairs? squeaks/rattles Appearance - beautiful both interior and exterior styling Cost of Ownership - great gas mileage, high maintenance Fun Factor - is this car fun to drive? you bet got it cheap, put some trannys in it, 3.0 3spd, only combo to buy. raced a bunch of kids in a nova, they probably went home and cried!
There is a reason Why ours was called the Tank mostly b/c we would take it off roading and beat the hell out of it and it still ran fine had to replace the transmission after 100,000 miles then at around 250,000 steering pump went out. we sold it with 310,000 for around 3,000 to the south point Kia dealership site unseen good deal for both of us with any luck this bad boy is still out there on the road trucking on. and mine was green the original green car it enjoyed long trips to Galveston beach and lots of messy kids but it never stopped except that one time when the crayfish tub tumped over and they got everywhere .. what a mess i got clawed by one on my way to school the day after that happened!
