This car is great to get you from place to place; it serves the primary function of a car very well. Styling is typical 90s econo-box, and acceleration is mild (though not quite as slow as automatic models). But, the car has proven to be very reliable, have a surprising amount of cargo room for a coupe, and gets impressive gas mileage (30+ mpg) to boot.

My FIRST Topaz was the 2.3 4cyl 2-door coupe GS. I seriously beat the crap out of that poor car! Now, I have the V6 Topaz, I have to say that my '93 V6 is much better. My 4cyl Topaz developed problems changing gears, and one day it started to stall at stop signs and red lights. The starter failed and I had to change the alternator twice. Mysteriously enough though, it did serve the purpose at the time!!
