its just great and to be a 1989 car havening the extras and technologi that modern cars have just started to have. its perfect to the eye still drives like a dream haveing all original parts .powerfull it handls great. i would't change this car for anything in the world it became my baby and whan i drive it i just can't take the smile off my face .

Basic, good car. Nothing bad to say about it. Except the 1.6 engine, which sucked. Way too underdimensioned for the size of the car. It was good to drive. Corrosion was a minor problem. Some electric faults showed up and minor technic problems.

this was a 1989 car - a 1.8 gl - performance was really good - at worst the way i`d drive it, it would do 30 m.p.g. - the best it would do 44/46 m.p.g. - so long as you kept the revs around 4,500 r.p.m. it would keep up with most cars out there - the most i had out of her was 128 m.p.h. - build quality as with all volkswagens was exellent - i damn good car to look at too - so damn easy to work on & maintain too - an absolute hoot to drive - the only critisism i`d have was with the electrics just before i got rid of it, they went right up the swanny lol

Very strong, and very big.especally if you have a child you do not have to worry abot the luggage.Small engine,which is 1600 gives slow torque!!Very good family car but it's very very old .It spend abot 10-11 LPG in the city and 7-8 out of the city. Now I want new one.Vw Passat 1999y. 1.9tdi 110 hp.Next year I'll buy it.
