this has been a great truck to see the USA in from California to Florida we took the kids camping and had a blast it has carried boy scouts and Presidential candidates and with only 117,000 miles it is ready for many more years of service :)

This truck is a lot of fun. Lots of room and lots of possibility! It is just not practical for everyday use unless you have a family. I drive this to and from work mostly by myself. Though it is perfect for packing full of people and heading out on an adventure! Whether to the river or the city, a concert or a party it is great for a good time and lots of room to crash in if you can't drive!

The engine is extremely reliable and powerful, the interior is very roomy, it can haul a lot of weight, and overall, it's one of the best trucks that i've ever owned, and i would recomand it to anybody do to its power and reliability to chevy's around the world.

Very good cheap aftermarket parts......most work can be done by an average tool handy person........saves you 80 dollars an hour on labor......if left stock, it will look great as a clean near vintage preSUV truck. NOT......NOT....an everyday driver if you are worried about gas. TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION!!!!.....with no car payment....multiple companies manufacturing high end aftermarket parts....ease of repair....it STILL beats a brand new SUV with the average price of 50gand.

1989 Suburban K-2500 HD, Has HD axles under it (12 bolt in the rear, Dana 44 front), and 4.11 gears. Has 235K miles on it now, lost the first motor(head gasket, I put 7k miles on her on 7 cylinders!) at 208k, then the TH-400 at 214k, lost the front-pump, can't believe they lasted that long in front of 4.11's. Now has a 97' Vortech 350 with an Edelbrock Performer MPFI system and full length headers and a rebuilt TH-400 with a BB torque converter/valve body. Still has 4.11's in it, now has 33's (and looking for a 4/6" lift and 35's), and running the highway at 65, spinning like a boat motor, it will get 16-17 mpg, not that it matters, I'd driver her if she got 5. Big bumper and center console to hold the pistol.
