My fox-body Mustang is used exclusively as a track- day/race car. It has a complete Griggs Racing GR40 World Challenge [non-SLA] suspension. It handles as well as just about anything else on the track... I just need to improve work on the dummy behind the wheel, and a little (okay a lot) more horsepower would be nice! The fun factor with my Mustang is off the charts!

1984 Ford Mustang Hatchback, vehicle was originally a turbo coupe, but had the 4cyl replaced with a v8. Which I pulled and rebuilt, .030 302cid. (305cid). 650cfm Holley double pumper carb. Hooker Comp headers, true dual exhaust, 5spd manual trans, 8in rear. Installed 6pt. roll cage, drag buckets, 5pt racing belts, 15in alloy wheels. 3-way adjustible racing shocks and complete rear control arm kit with greasable poly bushings.

I'm not a big fan of the 80s Stangs but I always said my first car would be a Mustang and I was right. She handled pretty well but the power steering didn't work so it was a pain sometimes. I called her Chopper because she sounded like a helicopter when she ran because of the muffler being loud and banging on the car.

The biggest peace of junk ever built, i would feel cooler driving a pinto, mine had a 2.4 4cylinder, they are slow, bad on gas, uncomfortable, sound crappy, have no room, they are uglier than all get out, i was embarrased to be seen in it, and only owned it for 3 days before i traded it off on a wrecked neon lol
