This formerly clean & beautiful '83 Grand Marquis was purchased in rural Carthage, Illinois. I saw her sitting on the side of the road with a For Sale sign in the front window. After owning a larger car I missed the road feel and roominess. This had a 302 V8 with a lazy AOD transmission that wanted to shift into overdrive at around 25 miles an hour. Other than that, everthing worked perfectly when I bought this including the "premium sound" stereo and A/C. All was well with the world...until I slammed into a 10 point buck on I-74 during the thanksgiving break of my freshman year of college. The radiator core support, front clip, and radiator were replaced by my Father and I over winter break. After that the car wasn't the same. That 302 ran like a champ though, and it would take ANYTHING that I threw at it and didn't even wince. I wish I hadn't hit that stupid animal

this car was nice to drive in but wasn't for someone who was 20 years old at the time.
