Used Ford F-100 for Sale near Port Dover, ON

i love the styling of the body and the clean simple interior unlike modern cars. it handles as well as a modern truck. the performance is better than modern trucks, the 351M in it will do more than it's fair share of work. the fuel mileage is approx 11-12 mpg but it has a 400 block so it is expected to lack mileage. it has decent acceleration, it will get up and go when needed despite the lack of maintenance before i bought it. it is relatively low maintenance, and parts for it are cheap. the brakes could be better but that much is to be expected from a brake system that the booster went bad on. when i replaced the booster on my last one it went from lacking stopping power to stopping on a dime nearly. i would prefer it be a manual but i bought it as an auto. the tranny is strong but not indestructible. (i found out the hard way by splitting it on a rock while mudding) it handles mud very well even though it has stock suspension and tires. it is also only 2 wheel drive though it muds like a 4 wheel drive. it has pulled out many new dodges and chevies, so that much said. it holds up the ford name very well. i would not own anything new or non ford. my family has had very good luck with these old f100's. we have had at least ten in the family at one point. they had all been extremely good vehicles.

I inherited this truck from my dad who inherited it from my grandfather who bought it brand new back in '72. It still has the original 360 v8 in it but i now has a 4 speed instead of the automatic it came with. It has not been on the road in about 8 or 9 years and the body is starting to get rough but it still runs great although it is starting to lose oil pressure do to a need of a pump. But not bad for a '72 with 170k on it.

The performance is good for what i need. Acceleration= good Build Quality= All I can say is BUILT FORD TOUGH Cost= The price I like and it's good on gas, and hell of course I've had to work on it a little it's 36 year's old..

I have always liked Fords, and I have always like the 70's bodystyles. And when I scored this truck I was happy. My dad bought it for me and I have been working on it since then. I am putting a 4 inch lift and when my 33" tires get bald, I am gonna put it on some 35s. The 390 V8 runs great. There was a small problem when I got it: The lifters were worn out and I had to replace them. They were creating a small knock from the slack left between the rockers and the valve springs. No biggie. The engine was rebuilt before I got it. The guy put in a mild street Comp Cam, headers, and a Holley 650 DP on a stock 4-barrel intake. The Dana 44 and 9" axle combo is great. Strong axles and great performing off-road. They have the stock 3.50:1 gear ratio with the factory Posi in the front, because the rear one broke. The transfer case was upgraded to a Dana 20 from a 1968 Bronco so that I could have the advantage of 4WD-Hi and 4WD-Lo, rather than just and "In and Out" transfer case.

Built Ford tough - strong as nails 6 cylinder 250 motor could use a little more top end power but will tow anything reasonably cheap to run very cheap for the size of it! heaps of fun to drive turns heads wherever I go.
