Definitely tons of get-up-and-MOVE with a 402 and 4 on the floor. Capable of spinning tires through 3rd gear. The entire vehicle is very solidly built, it has had no problems except the starter motor and recently the steering box and horn, with close to 200,000 miles of towing a heavy trailer and hauling tons of wood. It does use quite a bit of gas, 10/12 when it's not hauling anything, and it's been as low as 5 or 6 mpg when moving heavy loads. It is a pretty fun to drive, but can be scary if the steering gear is loose. The engine is very responsive and the drive train is very smooth except when it is near a stall. The cab also allows excellent visibility all around the truck, and the large towing mirrors come in very handy in almost any situation.
