(5 reviews)Great lines on these cars, although only the coupes I would consider appealing. You cannot go wrong with the 383. Mine leaked oil so bad I had to keep quarts in the back seat. Still ran great. I would like to compare these cars to the crown vics / grand marquis of the late 90s and 2000s. They were beat on, used as police vehicles, and family cars. So you don't see too many original survivors or show Newports. Mine had a poorly done bondo / backyard paint job but presented well. Nothing was very original to the car besides the 383. For several months I actually used it as a daily driver to get to work and it was an experience. Only a ten gallon gas tank on this monster? I was at the pump every other day. Sometimes everyday to play it safe considering the fuel gage didn't work and I was doing the math in my head. Bought it cheap and had no problem selling it when I was done with it. Because they were such common cars long ago, everyone had a story about them, whether it was their first car, or the car their dad drove them around in long ago. Cool car to own.
HAHA! That's MY car in the photograph. Awesome to see it making the rounds. That's pretty cool. Anyway, I like it. It's the only one I've ever seen in person, and it get's attention wherever it goes. The ladies seem to like it too. ;)
its great i love this car im currently fixing it up Its goin to be a sleeper for sure. it was originally my grandpa and great grandpas. its a great ride, i currently have a new master cylinder, new carburater and just got ne valve covers. still am going to do rims headers, exhaust also little bit of interior and going to get a new intake, another new carb and then air filter and housing
its a car that was killed off in demolition derbys bc they were indestructible so hard find they were also great mob cars but best of all u can fit a 440 under the hood with no problems rock on
Born at the junction of two automotive eras: one of excess, when a large car appointed with chrome indicated wealth, and the horsepower wars of the 60's, where the cars with the biggest engines ruled the streets. Chryslers were the "banker's hot rod".
