Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car seems to slip out of gear while driving
causing a huge jump in the rpms and goes
back into gear when gas pedal is released.
Also check engine light keeps coming on.
Had it in the shop mutiple times and keep
being told that its sensors and they have
been replaced but light comes back on
within 2 days and car drives funny again.
Fluids are good and not burnt. What could
be causing these issues?

My 99 Lexus ES300 has been coding check engine codes for over 2 years. I have changed allot of sensor's to "No", Zero help. It passes inspection so I'm just going to drive it. Runs good, I don't have that transmission problem.

had to get my transmission reset at dealers that did the trick
