Engine swap

So i just bought a 99 mustang its got a 3.8 v6 and
it runs great but it not what im looking for and i
have a friend that sais i should swap it out for a
camaro L something im just wondering what i can
do  i dont have alot of money to put into it and can
do the work myself but i need some advice
