Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Crown Vic police
interceptor. Monday when I went
home all was fine Tuesday when I got
in the car to leave reversed would not
work. All other gears are fine but
reverse will not work suggestions
please

Probably an electric solenoid shifter failed to work anymore. There are times when a single part failing will notify the ECM to shutoff the engine, too, until repaired; so do get these things repaired.
