Cadillac 2001

Asked by Jortiz00 Aug 01, 2017 at 08:32 AM about the 2001 Cadillac DeVille Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car will not start up for some reason drove it to work and
back home  and ran out of gas put gas in it and started
right up it only mad it down the street and after that I will
not start up any more check all the fues and the fuil pump
and fuil line as well but will not start up will turn over but
will not start up hope you guys can help

What about your fuel filter ? Those will clog completely on some cars after running low on fuel for long periods of time, or as in your case simply running out of gas. Lots of people just don't ever fill it up and it can really wear on the fuel pump and as previously mentioned the filter. Definitely not worth the gamble. I hope the fuel filter is the problem .
