transmission

Asked by castor3 Jan 24, 2016 at 08:15 PM about the 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Nissan Altima with 62,000 miles and I never changed the
transmission fluid.  Now it seems like the car has less power.  Is the
transmission fluid the problem?  If I change the fluid, will this resolve the
problem?

Read this and consult your dealership. It may be a transmission issue. A car with 62,000 miles should have plenty of power left. I presume that you have kept up with the maintenance and did you purchase this brand new. Good luck. http://www.nissanassist.com/faqs.php?menu=3

I have a 2010 Subaru Outback 2.5 with the CVT transmission and 75,000 miles. I did have the transmission fluid changed at 73,000 miles and it runs like a top, no problem at all.
