car won't start

Asked by AishaD Mar 23, 2016 at 06:33 PM about the 2007 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Lately I've been having problems starting my car
after driving it. I would drive it maybe to a store
and I'm in there for a few minutes. Once I return to
the car it attempts to start but shuts back off. If I
let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes. It will start up
sometimes with hesitation  with poor idling and
sometimes just fine. Any suggestions as to what
this could be?

If check engine light is on, go to an Autozone and have your error codes read. Post the codes back here. If no error codes, the possible suspects could be: Dirty IAC valve, dirty MAF, dirty throttle body, dirty EGR, faulty ECT sensor. I would first buy a can of throttle body cleaner and spray some into the intake of the throttle body and into your IAC or Idle Air Control valve. Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i82s4ZfR2js Post back with codes or let us know how the cleaning went with the spray.
