My 2000 C230 will not start. I only have one key (just replaced the batteries in it) when I put the key in the ignition it will not turn. Also it doesn’t seem to lock unlock the door or pop the trunk. But the little red light on the key goes on.

Find your friendly Mercedes Benz dealer and talk to the guy behind the counter, the one with the Mercedes Benz logo on his shirt pocket- cross his palms with silver- then go home, put Richard Wagner on the stereo and pray to Valhalla- wait for the phone call- sorry, this is the best I can do today-
