Truck starts up fine but it takes a minute to
be able to drive and it will go for a while then
stops and won’t accelerate when it suppose
to and when it does finally accelerate it jerks
back in and it’ll stop and it won’t switch in to
gears right away

Check the transmission fluid. Call the dealer, look in the owner manual, or call you local parts store to find out what type of fluid and how much it takes.
