I have a 96 dodge ram 1500 4x4 has the 318
v6 the transmission will not shift out of first i
nevered really had any problems with it
before. it was drivein fine then the next day it
wouldn't shift. Could there be something  
else it could be

make sure the fluid is full , you can take it to a shop but I'm thinking it's time for a rebuild
