Truck won't start

I started my truck this morning with no issues it
ran for 10 seconds then shut off. Now dash lights
come on and I smell a burnt wire...no clicking from
starter or anything

Sounds like a bad connection. Check the connections on the battery, take note of the condition of the battery cables. Make sure and check the ground wire on both ends. Clean & snug connections. Battery may be worn down but for you to be smelling burning wire, it's drawing a lot of current, meaning there is resistance somewhere in the starting system.
