2004 Chevy Cavalier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What would cause a 2004 Chevy Cavelier to jerk
when driving? It typically happens on long
distances and when it does jerk, the RPM jumps up
real high. It will jerk very frequently. If I turn the car
off, it'll act like it just reset and the car won't do it
again for a while. Only the TRAC OFF light is on.
Nothing else. Mechanic cannot figure out the
problem. No codes when I went to AutoZone.
