Transmission

Asked by Itsme2016 Oct 31, 2016 at 02:58 PM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 05 Gran Prix won't shift gears automatically, I
have to take my foot off the gas pedal (going at
least 20 mph) then it will shift, but right after it
jerks a couple of times, it feel like it doesn't want to
go.  I already changed the spark plug wires,
replaced the ICM. also my "trac off" will go off and
on, as well as do door locks sometimes don't
work..Any ideas

Have you check the fluid level? if that is correct when is the last time you performed a fluid change of the transmission. If those are OK you may want to look the shift solenoids. These will need to be checked and changed by a tranny shop..
