Car won't start

Asked by Guru5DHFS Dec 21, 2017 at 11:02 PM about the 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix will start just fine
most of the time but every 2-3 days I'll try and start
it and it won't do anything. No lights will come on
and no sound like the battery is trying to start. You
turn the key and it does absolutely nothing. I get it
jumped and it starts fight away and will work fine
like nothing is wrong. Is this some kind of safety
mechanism or something cause I'm confused as to
why there's absolutely no sound no lights but then
it'll start no problem.

Ditto to the above, battery or cable issue. Also check date on battery, I swear they are carefully engineered to die right about the time they reach their expiration date.
