My transmission is going in my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix
gt I don’t have the money to get a new built transmission
my friend put something for transmissions slipping in it
and drive it in 3 and it works and drives better my
question is is it okay to drive in 3 if it helps ?

Transmission magic in the can is usually only a temporary fix. I'd drive it till the transmission goes completely out and that likely will soon happen.

I agree. Drive it till it dies. In the mean time start shopping for a different car. You will need one soon. Replacing the transmission in the car you have will easily exceed the value of the car and is not money well spent.
