front middle console cover that opens and closes broken - dealership is telling me I need to replace ENTIRE console $350 for console and $500 for installation any alternatives?

Only the cover that opens and closes on my middle front console is broken.  Dealership is saying I need to purchase an entire console from them and have it installed ($350 for console and $500 for install) it's only the cover that won't close - slide back and forwrad.
