You may have gotten other ignition parts wet when you "jet washed" the car. Let it dry out around coils, distrib, etc. and the try again to start it. This may take a day or so if you cannot dry the connections with a rag.

We have tyred everything the car has been stood for 4 days now bought a new battrey put jump leads from car to battrey an battrey just sparking. A few lads have said could be a wire touching some were earthing it all.
