When I start driving and the trans goes to shift my
rpms go up to about 3 or 4 thousand acts like it
don't won't to shift .if I let off the gas it will shift .
And then the o/Do light starts flashing  .Amy ideas

Probably needs the transmission rebuilt or replaced. As Tom suggested have it checked out.
