Starting

Asked by GuruQY44M Nov 13, 2019 at 11:38 AM about the 1994 Ford Ranger XL Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driving in severe daylight snowstorm parked left
headlights on.  Next day dead battery.  Got it
jumped it started.  Drove on an errand parked tried
to start got no crank,no click, no start.
Battery fully discharged fully drained
instantaneously.  How did leaving lights on create
this condition of instantaneous complete battery
drain.  What test, repair needed to get it running.
It is a ford ranger 1994 v6 3.0 when jump start will
run and let it sit and run for an hour to charge
battery and test electrical system all ok.
It just has no crank no click no start on own
battery.
