Question type: Maintenance & Repair

If I drive my 2007 Camry for an hour at
55mph and then stop and turn off car for
15 min, it won't start up again unless I wait
45-50 min. This is after engine temp gauge
has lowered. Occurs more often in hot
weather 80-90 degrees. What could cause
this?

Igniter unit module in distributor. Sounds like it's the ignition module on the side of your distributor. If you have no spark, as in zero when hot, check your module. When the engine is hot, they typically fail. If the engine quits when hot again, cool the ignition module down with some ice. If it starts immediately, there's your problem. Or while the car is running, tap on it. If the car quits or bucks, that is also a tell tale sign. If you have no idea what one looks like, go to Youtube and type in "ignition module"
