a bad battery or lack or recharge like catt said could cause this kind of issue.

But if I use jump leads to another battery shouldn't it start?

that is often a false pretense if your going to simply use another battery it best to remove the current one and put that one in its place. To properly jump a car you shouldn't just hook it up and then crank the key. its often good practice to let the other vehicle charge the battery for 5-15 minutes then try and crank it. When you don't do this you can damage the other cars battery as it pulls the cranking amps from the other battery and the jumpers are not a solid connection for that. I have tried jump starting it with three different cars, the last time the jump leads were connected for quite some time. But the same problem, car was just turning, I have also fully charged the battery too but same problem. A friend thought its probably a fuel problem, maybe the coil I have brought a new battery, which I will try tomorrow, even if that's not the problem the old one was probably towards its end.

if the car is sputtering it won't be the fuel. if the car is not even sputtering its likely a coil problem or something on the voltage end of things.. When you disconnect the battery be sure to have your radio code. other wise use a battery charger to maintain voltage on the car during the swap so it does not lose voltage. Unhooking the battery may also correct the issue as well as some times a reboot can help.

Its sorted now, it was a coil and a fuse. Thanks for the advice

Ok so I've got literally same problem except that my car will actually start and go off within a second only in the mornings. After 7 attempts it will eventually be ok. I've changed the coolant sensor. Seems everyone's guess was this, I am not suspecting fuel pump because whenever engine is back on I am driving normally under petrol, this only happens in the mornings. Might be a bad battery? Because 2 times I got my battery died and recharged it. But if the battery is the faulty one, than can it cause car to shut off as soon as it turns on couple of a times and only after 7 attempts keep the rpms correctly?
