1985 grand marquis

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My problem is when I turn the key the starter
solenoid just clicks and dont do nothing else
I tried to fire the solenoid but it just sparks
everything else works just fine dash lights
head lights radio etc.

Your question? You could just replace the solenoid but it may be close to the price of just replacing starter and solenoid as one unit. Check battery voltage. Low voltage at battery will make this clicking sound.
