Why won't my driver's power seat move all the way back?

Asked by barryjdavis58 Mar 21, 2024 at 06:09 PM about the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country Touring FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The driver's side power seat will not go all the way back, and it moves literally
right up next to the dash when it's all the way forward. I have looked in the
tracks, there's nothing blocking it. I am 6'1" tall and it's now uncomfortable to
drive. Is there any way to "adjust" the seat where it will go all the way back
again?

Check in the owners manual for resetting the program for the seat. If that doesn’t work then the dealer will most likely have to do a reset on the BCM.

In a ten year old Chrysler, I'm surprised they work at all. Maybe the track is bent. Maybe there's a broken sprocket on the motor. Maybe... Maybe... Maybe
