heater blows cold, when cold

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

dual control climate system. works normally when temperatures are above
freezing. below freezing it blows cold air no matter the function. defrost or heat
it blows cold. put a small heater in the cab to keep it warn inside and heater will
work normally. let it get cold inside the cab and it blows cold air. changed
control module and it behaves the same. anyone have any ideas?

Dual control systems will have codes stored, so you need to find a shop that can get those out of the system, repair it then reset the system, you just can’t throw parts on it and expect it to work without a system reset.

Check to see if you have an interior temperature sensor. Make sure the intake for it is clear.
