For the year (2013) the features met my expectations. I’m hoping I can get a few things added but I’m enjoying the car for all it does offer. I’m missing heated seats, and the back up camera upgrades, navigation needs an upgrade as well but again for the year, the car is great. Jan 26, 2025

In the model I have (C300 Sport 4Matic) the E/S button is to switch from Economy mode ( lower rpm shifting , less gas consumption, soft suspension) and Sport mode ( Tighter steering, higher rpm shifting, stiffer suspension for cornering).
Ive heard you can just hit the button while moving but Id play it safe and switch it when not in motion. Oct 06, 2024

The c250 is a real keeper of a car. Its sleek lines and bold finish sets it apart from the average and into the stratosphere of above average. Excellent value for the money... let the new car buyer take the hit on depreciation and get pre-owned .. and be ready to enjoy it. You Earned it right ?Jul 24, 2024

Best car I have ever driven. I would never drive anything else. Its sporty, handles the road well on curves and it gave me a new level of driving confidence and experience. I previously drove BNW and Audi.Mar 03, 2024

A CPO purchase summer 2014 - this smooth looking little coupe is perfect for my wife.
At 41,000 miles the C250 1.8l 4-cylinder has really impressed us with its highway MPG.
Reliability has been OK - with one repair: the ESL failure.
The car is Iridium Silver which complements the exterior styling perfectly.
The disc brakes work without issue, the 7-speed auto transmission shifts quickly and smoothly, the Navigation system and hands free cel connection allow us to reserve a room in AZ following a change of travel lodging plans.
That is all

I recently purchased a used C250 Sport a few weeks ago and I have to admit that my expectations for the car was relatively low considering it was not an E, S, or ML. This car came with the premium 1 package and the lighting technology package. The premium 1 package comes with the Harmon Kardon 7.1 surround sound, which honestly is the best sound that I have heard come from a car before and I am an avid Bose consumer. The lighting package comes with the adaptive HID headlights and adaptive high beam technology that reacts to oncoming traffic and dims accordingly. Whats more is that I read some of the reviews people gave the car and saw that people were disappointed with performance and the fact that there was lack of leg room in the rear. To begin, this is in no way a BMW 335i or M3. Mercedes has always considered luxury over sport and adds the sport package for those who want a spirited drive, not a drifting at the intersections drive. The power and transmission are geared for a more economical drive to conserve fuel and utilize torque over horsepower, this is noted by the fact that the car always starts in economy mode. In addition, the leg room is decent and I am 510. While it is not the most spacious, it is also not an E-class which according to the side-by-side comparison on edmunds, com only adds 2, yes 2 whole inches to the rear leg room. Not enough to spend an added 5-6K. Overall, the car is what you would expect from a compact 4-door with great fuel economy, I average 33-35MPG at 75mph, while using cruise control and 20-25 in city driving, depending on traffic. This car is what you could expect for a 25-30K compact in its class and if you are expecting a sporty drive with gearing and power specifically for pulling on the driver next to you, then you should consider a BMW 3-series or Infinity G37.

The standard feature of ALL C250 Coupes is the Panoramic Moon Roof plus automatic shade screen. It makes the car sportier and provides an open feel. It is older and a newer car will be more modern in presentation. However, if you like classic Mercedes with Navigation System, Rear View Camera, Heated Seats, Mirrors, Lane Sensors, 2 Doors, 4 Seats and driver friendly, you cannot go wrong. This Model was limited from 2012-2015. The value is good, especially if maintained and lower mileage. The car is 2012 so if its missing anything it would be missing whatever cars in 2022 offer. No need to compare to another vehicle....its a Mercedes.Dec 19, 2022

This vehicle is everything you need in a vehicle comfort performance and handling. Mercedes out does any other branch with its interior beauty. To top it off Mercedes are reliable as they come. If you’re looking for an affordable luxury vehicle buy a Benz. Jun 13, 2021

I like the looks and handling, the seats and the mileage.
No negatives for me.
Build quality is excellent. It;s a Mercedes!
I have been driving them for 35 years.
Nothing else compares.
Best is knowing how safe the car is compared to the competition.Nov 04, 2015

So far, I like everything about this car other than the low-beam headlights. They have a sharp cutoff that doesn't light up the road as far out as I'd like and there are no driving lights to augment them. Overall, given the other positives, this is a nit. The seats are comfortable, the power comes on quickly and smoothly, and the car handles very well. It's a great place to relax at the end of a long day in Corporate America.Nov 09, 2014

very well put together. German engineering. impeccable road manners. Car is rock steady while braking and cornering. Adequate gas mileage . Affordable entry level luxury. Great sleek looks enhanced by difficult to get steel gray. Dependable. 4 matic adds peace of mind in poor weather conditions.Dec 01, 2013

The baby Benz is a great way to get into the luxury car market. You just can't beat the look - and the perception among clients doesn't hurt either! Handles well, rides beautifully. it's a joy to drive this car. Would definitely recommend.Jun 06, 2013

It's an enjoyable and fun car to drive. It's V6 228hp and 258lbs/ft tq. give it plenty of get up and go with a 0-60 time of about 7.5 seconds. Even with a V6 it boasts roughly 30 mpg on the highway. The ride quality is great. It's so smooth, and bumps are soaked up very nicely. It's very quiet inside the cabin, even on regularly noisy highways. The only downside is the amount of legroom, or lack thereof, in the rear seats.Nov 21, 2011

I love the luxury appeal and all the useful accessories. The engine makes alot better use out of the power than our old MKZ did with the same 3.5L V6. Its a fun drive and handels well with the 18" amg rims wrapped in pirelli P-zero tires. THe only coomplaint is that a manual transmission is not available with the 4-motion AWD systemAug 15, 2009

Great breaking, acceleration is good enough to pass most cars on the freeway, handling is fine, steering wheel is stiffer and doesn't snap back as quick as, say Toyota/Lexus, but i'm fine with it. build quality overall is great, consider the C300 a baby S-class, with a smaller COMAND system, and slightly cheaper materials. Appearance is also great, I always get compliments on my car, and i really should wash it more.
Cost of ownership: relatively low, aside from the free service that i got from Mercedes-Benz, i have over 9,000 miles in less then a year, and i've gotten a flat tire, which cost me about 300 at the dealer. Gas mileage for me is 19.5, bear in mind i usually drive in the city, but have taken it on two roadtrips.
fun factor? fun enough, 6-speed automatic shifts nicely, and you can switch from a standard mode (starting on 2nd), or Comfort, (starting on 1).
i would recommend this car for those who want a more luxury/compact-executive sport sedan.
compare to: Lexus IS (i would avoid the bmw 328 or infiniti g37 comparison, since imo, they are for a different buyer)Dec 09, 2008

I bought the C300 4 Matic, black on black with P2, multimedia package, This car is cool! Although I would like to have a bit more hp, but living in Boston, Multimedia package is great, Harmon Kardon sound system is fantastic. Average gas mileage is about 20 but mostly city driving. Very smooth ride, nice acceleration, steering is responsive. with the 4Matic I can go everywhere
