I don’t have a single complaint about this car. It is spacious, efficient, nice-looking, has plenty of room in the trunk, and has the features I wanted. I fully recommend the 2009 Mazda 6 (or any other 2nd generation model)May 28, 2024

My car got crushed by a tree Sunday night during a storm, I had it 2-3 years and absolutely loved everything about it, it was an amazing first car, Id have ran it until it wouldnt run anymore but the tree had other ideas I guess
I picked up my new mazda6 on Friday morning, its a 2010 and missing the popup storage area on the dash like my 2008 but its got plenty of other nice new features so its okay
Absolutely recommend ❤️Jul 09, 2023

It is spacious and sporty looking. Although I would of loved a spoiler and sunroof this car runs smoothly, turns with ease, no play in it at all. Mine only has 43000 miles on it but I can’t think of anything I’d change other than wish it got a little more gas mileage. Mar 13, 2022

It's fun to drive, gets very good gas mileage, looks sexy (we have the spoiler and tinted windows and it's sangria red). Good build quality, performance, braking and handling. We didn't get the option package that has leather or the nav system and should have.Aug 25, 2014

We got this car for it's great reliability, fun driving experience and roomy interior and cargo space. we've had absolutely no problems and its been a pleasant ownership experience so far. We do however miss some of the premium features that come standard on other entry level sedans, and the interior materials and fabrics feel a little cheap. There are times where the cockpit shape, and the sloping exterior body shape make visibility a problem, but after your get used to the reference points it's fine and doesn't effect maneuverability. Very peppy ride. It handles very well in all weather conditions. I am a very aggressive driver, and this car handles everything I put it through. It is a very reliable car. I have put over 66,000 miles on it, and have not had a major issues.Apr 05, 2012

alright car.. complete bose in car sound system, and pretty decent handling.. Not alot of power but the car makes up for it with 260 km/h top speed. Really nice interior, comes preloaded with sirius satellite radio, and bluetooth hands free. Overall not a bad first car.Sep 15, 2011

Having switched from a Hyundai Sonata
that basically fell apart at 100,000
miles, I went for a 2010 Mazda6 iTouring.
I haven't looked back. My daughter has a
2007 Mazda 3 hatchback and loves it. I
can see why. Except for a bit of
acceleration sluggishness due to a 4
cylinder engine (170hp)but a lot better
than the Sonata (130hp) (I should have
gone for the 6, but I wanted the gas
mileage instead of acceleration), the M6
excels in all other areas. I like the
styling, moderately sporty, but since
it's a new 2010, I can't really comment
on reliability and repairs. Road
worthiness is great. It's a pretty quiet
ride, and smooths out most bumps. Given
that I drive mostly in or around the city
(bad DC traffic), I've been tracking my
gas mileage and have stayed steady at
25mpg for the past 8 months. On the open
road, I'm getting 32-33mpg. Not bad for
a mid-size. Two features that I really
liked were the built-in Bluetooth, and
the Blind Spot Monitoring. The latter
has saved me more than a few times from
moving into a lane I shouldn't have. Put
this car on your short list. I compared
it to the Camry and the Accord and it
still worked for me.Sep 10, 2010

Fair car with resonable price, with lots of high end option such as bose audio system, keyless and SAP bodykit. Comparing with the same class from other manufacturers, this is a value buy~! I have to say it is worth it!Feb 18, 2010

Its got an amazing performance for the 2litre engine its got. Since its the basic model there is no advanced interior, but value for money deal. Good looks, good control and very less road noise. The best is the fuel conception...Its a very economical carDec 06, 2009

This is my second Mazda 6, they have both been very reliable company Cars. The last one only needed 2 sidelight bulbs replaced in 93,000 miles.
The latest model is easier on diesel but has more power.
Fun to drive as well.Sep 04, 2009

I'm obsessive when it comes to buying a new car. I have researched the mid-size class for 4 months before buying the Mazda6. I have test driven multiple times the Pontiac G8, Altima, Accord, Malibu, Fusion, and Camry. I was skeptic when I went to Mazda because some of the other cars are so highly rated. At the end, I decided for the Mazda6 s Sport even though I get the GM employee discount. If you are in the market for a sporty mid-size family sedan, you cannot beat the 2009 Mazda6. It's interior space is bigger than any of it's competitors save the Accord. It's trunk space is the biggest of all cars. The V6 has more power and torque than it's competitors.
What really convinced me to buy the Mazda though was its sporty feel. It drives like a sports car...the total opposite of a Camry. It's a FUN car to drive. It zips through curves and makes you feel like an extension of the car rather than isolating you from the road. Much like the BMW that my wife drives.
On top of this, the Mazda was cheaper than any of the other cars. Mazdas had been criticized in the past for reliability issues which prompted most people to buy Honda or Toyota, but that is no longer true. Mazda has greatly improved their quality and to back that up, they give you a *lifetime* powertrain warrenty.
If you are in the midsize market, do yourself a favor and test drive the Mazda 6. You will NOT regret it.Jan 05, 2009
