No major issues. Camera and radio are originals, never once a problem or any heavy expensive replacements. 24 - 26 miles/gallon, drives great. One owner(me). A few dings on my doors, everything original, no torn seats only paint is peeling in some areas. Love my ExclaimOct 06, 2024

This car is super practical! Theres so much room inside, lots of trunk space and incredibly easy to maneuver. Parking is a breeze! Easily carries around 3-4 passengers, has decent legroom in the back.
Also has a good amount of power for its size, pulls through traffic pretty easily. Gets up to speed quickly and has a decent transmission (I use the manumatic shifter and it changes gears quickly, and predictably.)
Gets pretty good gas mileage, 26-18 highway and 16-20 city.Mar 23, 2024

Its been the best car Ive ever had in 50 years of driving. The size is perfect for daily use or travel. Its the last of its generation since it doesnt have costly features . Feb 12, 2024

I really like this car. This was a 2010 Special Edition so it came fairly loaded for 2010. Its very roomy in the front and rear seating is very good too. I am 62 200lbs. The only weird thing is how the bluetooth radio works. It will bluetooth to your phone for calls but will not be able to stream music or podcasts from your phone without a special cable. And the radios user interface is strange when it comes to paring a phone or making a call. But, Its 2010 tech, so thats ok, and it works. THe car is peppy enough for everyday driving and to get on and keep up on a freeway, but its no sports car for sure. I love it.Dec 11, 2023

The Kia Soul is pleasant to drive, easy to park, and most important for me, the trunk-space is very good, with enough room for the two large walkers which my wife and I use, and groceries, too.Mar 25, 2023

I have the 1.6L base model, with already 112,000 miles on it this car has ask for NOTHING other than oil change and gas!!! I replace the coils my self one time other than that NOTHING, I was skeptical about Kia but after reading the great reviews about this car I purchase it second hand and now I have to write a good review about it too because this is a little great warrior car! I looked at the Honda Fit, Toyota Prius, and Chevy Leaf and they all felt sort of small and low to the ground. The other cross over SUVs felt large and ate a lot of gas. The Kia Soul is just the right size. Its great on gas. My Astrovan used to get 12 - 15 miles per gallon, and the Kia Soul gets around 30. It is super dependable. If I feel like taking a road trip, I just hop in and go. The full leather interior and the big screen with the infinity sound system make this car a comfortable ride. Ive stopped at a rest stop and took a nap across the backseat and it is pretty comfortable. Theres enough room to get luggage in the car and the back seats fold down in case you want to haul something like an industrial sewing machine, which I have done. The fog lights, cruise control and sunroof are really enjoyable. The 18 wheels hug the road and the car drives more like an SUV than a car. It has the perfect height, so youre not hoisting yourself in climbing up, or crouching and squatting down. Pretty good visability. It has blue tooth and navigation and sound system adjustments. All in all, super reliable and fun to drive. Peppy and gets up to speed quick and stops on a dime.Jul 24, 2021

Overall, this is a great car and I hope I can afford another one someday.
It is easy to park, very roomy inside. Feels like a mini-SUV. Plenty of head room, seats are upright, rather than slouched like some cars. Easy to get in and out of. Very easy to steer and drive. Feels like driving a go-cart sometimes. Just fun!Mar 19, 2015

This care has been a very good car to own/lease. It's low cost and simple operation make it a very nice car. It gets great gas millage and has good visibility for driving. It drives bigger than it is. It has a great turning radius so it's super for getting in and out of small places. It also holds a lot of stuff when the seats are folded down.Mar 10, 2015

Pros: Rides smooth, blue tooth works pretty good when streaming music. Sound system is awesome, brakes are very sensitive and at times when people cut you off or if you have to stop abruptly it slows down quick. I like the fact that it is a hamster car, fits me perfectly.
Cons: Gas tank is only 12.7 gallons, I found myself having to fill up more often depending on how much I drive in a period of time. Cruise control at times is rough when engaging it, but other than that it works well for what it is.
I only had this vehicle not even a week when I bought it used, so I might have more to say later on when I keep driving it and notice other things with it..
Overall, seems to a great car!Apr 07, 2014

This car is a great city or first time car! While the car performs great on the highway, the Soul shows its best features when fitting into tight parking spaces or easily maneuvering through traffic. The car is eye catching on the outside while the inside is quite roomy due to the car's unique slanted roof. This particular special edition has many great features such as Alloy fuel door, Illuminated sill plates, Custom details, light up speakers, and bluetooth capabilities that make this car modern and unique! This car (while I have not had to repair anything yet) is know for its inexpensive repair costs. The gas mileage is fair at around 24-26 average city and highway. I have gotten 30 MPG going strictly 60 MPH on the highway before, though. This car accelerates quite well for an engine of its size. The car will easily zip in and out of traffic. However, at high speeds there is a good bit of cabin noise (which I generally drown out with the upgraded sound system that has an excellent sup-woofer). Braking and handling is decent. This car is not luxury car, but is certainly of the same standards as Honda and the like. This car is one of the top safety picks in its class, so the car is very safe! Since the car is higher up than a sedan, you do NOT feel like a pea-sized car on the road. This car is so much fun to drive and people constantly compliment me on this car!Aug 28, 2013

This car is a fun ride and great gas mileage, I like the 18 inch tires, that makes it seem bigger and more midsize. It has done well in 2 snowy winters already. Safety of this car is also a plus!Nov 11, 2012

I liked everything bout this car. I think it looks great. It handles wonderfully. The ride is nice. The sound system is great. It fits almost two full drum sets which is huge being as I am a drummer. All in all it is a great car.Oct 23, 2012

Very practical and economical. With most options and accesories standard in comparison to everything else in same class, it is a hands down winner. Tight suspension and relatively small size make it a blast to drive. Plenty of room in both front and rear seats.Nov 16, 2011

Great size, great fuel economy, and customizations to fit anyone, this car can please most anyone with the make it your own styling. Decent system with a whole bunch of unnecessarily fun accessories. Love the fact that you can get wheels anywhere between 15 and 18 inch wheel packages.Oct 28, 2011

My Soul is awesome.Originally, i thought my next car would be a luxury car... i dreamt of a Cadillac CTS. Over the past year, i've become environmentally aware... trying to be "greener." So,instead, i decided to go with an economy vehicle. After shopping around and doing a lot of "homework",i chose the Kia Soul. Great gas mileage, cute interior, smooth ride, high ranking safety scores and tons of attitude.Good warranty too. So far, i'm thrilled with my Soul.May 30, 2010

The performance of the Kia Soul has been great. What I love about this car is that it has a high safety rating, good on gas, good IIHS rating, several standard features that other cars in it's class doesn't have, roomy interior, and a unique, sporty exterior. In addition, it comes with a very generous 10,0000 mile/10-year warranty and Kia offers free roadside assistance if anything should happen. I also save money on my car insurance with this vehicle because of is safety rating.
In my opinion, manufacturers can't/don't build cars to last, else they would go out of business because no one would ever need a new car. I decided to invest in the Kia Soul because it was fun to drive, affordable, had low-gas mileage and came with a great warranty. Thus, lowering my overall cost of ownership until it's time to get a new car.Jan 08, 2010

For the price range of a car, KIA Soul is a great car. Rides fine on the HWY, 30 MPG. acceleration is fine for engine size. I wanted more MPG and the trade off was less tork in passing cars. Crews control, stereo all on the steering wheel. Child lock rear windows, sport friendly with seats that fold flat so I can put my bike in the car. It is a nice unique looking car. Not like all the other cars in it's price range.Aug 31, 2009

Interior huge! Good acceleation, getting used to all disc braking. Only repair is that the engine light has come on twice because of sensor not denoting gas cap is tight. Appearance great---heads turn! Cost of ownership--insurance only increased $20 more than my 1999 Taurus! Gas mileage is as stated. Car is really fun to drive!Aug 19, 2009

There are more gadget in this car than my 2004 M3 convertible. So far the build quality is top notch. As per performance it is a 2.0 liter so that is not a high rev engine. You will get acceleration from a civic but I would not trade this car in for a civic. BTW, I had a few civics before. I love the way the car looks especially since nobody has this car. Wonderful to drive, fun to drive made a great decision. I also looked at the Scion XB, Toyota Matrix, Civic, Corolla and Elantra. Jul 11, 2009

Love driving my Kia Soul! It handles well and can accelerate quickly when needed. I haven't had any problems so far as far as repairs. I love the way it looks and the interior is clean but stylish. Love the gas mileage and space I have to put everything without owning an SUV. Jul 09, 2009
