Ford F-150 (2009 - 2014) Reviews, Pricing & Specs

I bought my 13 in 2017. It has been reliable and solid the past 6 years. In MN it handles the snow and ice fine with times needing to use 4WD in harsher weather. It pulls my 16ft boat with ease and also handles my ice castle too. I love the 3.5 engine its powered just right to haul or give you decent fuel economy. Youre not buying this to get 25+ mpg. Ive had general repairs on it. O2 sensors, 3 of which one can easily get to but there is one up above the cat converter which is tough. Replaced one MAP sensor. Otherwise tires and changing the fluids according to their schedule. And this is with putting on almost 90k in the time ive owned it.Sep 02, 2023

2011 FORD F150 5.0L V8 32V F/I SMPI The 5.0 V-8 has a Six-Speed automatic power-train. The 6-speed 6R80 transmission SelectShift Automatic progressive range select and manual electric shift mode is a great combination especially for mountain or hill driving when you need to remain in the same gear on windy roads or downgrades. 4-Wheel Disc brakes provide good stopping power. The interior is well appointed with grey fabric (which I really like) . The design and look of the dash and gauges is set up for good ergonomic interaction. It puzzles me why the interior stylists place so much chrome trim in the interior when it can reflect sunlight into your eyes. Is there glare-absorbing chrome out there? I have driven this truck in the mountains and on two-lane country roads. It has great engine power, balance, and handling if you push it. I feel very safe driving this truck.Feb 19, 2015

You wouldn't believe the power of the Eco-boost V6, the towing is best in class, and the handling is superb. The interior feels like a luxury car and has plenty of convenient features. The truck has an impressive stance and exterior, as well as great hauling capabilities. The turbochargers provide great power and fuel economy as well as a wonderful overall driving experience. If you can overlook the lack of sound that comes from the engine, and the fact that the center console holds the shift control, than this is the perfect truck for you. Despite the fact that the shifter isn't where you would expect it to be, it does boast a nice feature: Select-shift, which allows you to change gears manually in addition to having the truck do it on it's own. I read up a lot on full size trucks and took a few for drives. I settled on the 2012 F-150 with the Ecoboost motor, just because it has gobs of power and was rated with excellent fuel economy. I have not towed yet, but have hauled scrap concrete and misc renovation crap to the city dump with no issues.... truck handled well and did not sag with the added weight in the back. for passing vehicles on the highway...this turbo V-6 is wonderful !! Almost no turbo lag from low speeds and it takes off like a scared rabbit. Hwy fuel economy was 9.2 liters per 100km..or about 25mpg US I get over 18 mpg US in the city Again, I will add that I use premium fuel and have switched to using synthetic oil for lubrication.Nov 21, 2012
