We like the room, we like that it was cheap to buy one used, we love the spacious interior, we like the rear a/c controls, I like that I can easily change the spark plugs rather than pay $170 for a job that takes less than an hour for a novice. Changing brakes is a breeze as well.Apr 17, 2015

The Durango has been a fun vehicle for hauling the family and friends around, it seats up to 8 easily and has been our go-to SUV when it comes to getting people together. I've driven this in severe north eastern Ohio weather, a snow belt, with complete confidence. The 4 wheel drive and excellent steering and road handling capabilities has never let me down. Maintenance costs have been higher than with our Expedition and it has required more trips to the dealer for servicing. Overall however it has been a pleasure to own one.Dec 08, 2014

Great car! Most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Lot's of power and very easy to maintain. Looks sharp out on the town or out on the ranch. V8 engine is a must to get past those slow pokes in the slow lane!Nov 04, 2014

I love everything about this car except for the fuel economy! I love how it sits up a little higher than most vehicles, and how quickly it can accelerate. I've never felt safer behind the wheel than when I drive my silver Durango. Which is important because it's the vehicle I drive my daughter in, on our way to school, soccer games, etc. I almost hope it doesn't sell right away, because I I'm going to miss driving it!Oct 10, 2014

This is a great family vehicle, holds 7 people, with a lot of cargo room, as well as a great towing capacity for trailers, campers or boats. It also has a nice DVD player in the back for kids on longer trips.Aug 18, 2014

Excellent for the price
I have a trailer that I use to haul construction materials when doing small project on the house. I used this to haul everything that I needed for the job. You can pack the trailer and drive the car and not even feel that you are towing something. This car is a lot of funJul 11, 2014

Tough, rugged and long lasting. For a great price you can have a true 4X4 off road vehicle that drive like a Lincoln on the road. Mine never broke or left me stranded. I bought it new and will never sell it.Jun 11, 2014

Great SUV. Very reliable transportation. Vehicle is excellant in snow, ice, rain or really any weather with it's 4 WD. The ride is very comfortable also. It is smooth and soft with no feeling of it being a big SUV or truck. Vehicle has plenty of leg and head room also, for those long trips you may need to take. Also, for hauling stuff around, there is plenty of room and even more when you lay the backseat down flat.Oct 01, 2013

I did not dislike anything about this vehicle besides the gas mileage. Overall I can look pass the gas mileage when I have a good looking, dependable vehicle. This vehicle has carried my large family on trips, it has hauled trailers, and been used for moving a couple of times. Very dependable vehicle that is great in the wintery Ohio weather.Jul 31, 2013

Very sleek look. Extremely comfortable ride. Great handling for a larger vehicle. The power of a truck with the maneuverability of a car. Wonderful family vehicle. Perfect for a driving vacation. Very comfortable for short or long distance travel. Lots of amenities.Sep 19, 2012

We have owned this vehicle for 6 years and it has been a great vehicle. No major problems. The check engine light popped once in 6 years. The vehicle had great power while towing a 4000lbs boat. I would definitely purchase again.Aug 10, 2012

Loved the look and feel of this SUV. Lots of power but nice comfort features within. My wife feels very safe being "above the traffice" as she says and never has to worry about getting on the highway. Plenty of room for the kids in back and the DVD player keeps them occupied. Heavy duty towing package pulled a large trailer or 24 ft boat and trailer, no problem. Also, when doing work around the house the folding seats gave huge cargo room for trips to Home Depot.Apr 10, 2012

I have over 170,000 miles on this car and I bought it new. I've only had to change oil, replace the brakes and tires. It has proven to be a reliable vehicle and has held up well. It will hold anything I want to put in it.Dec 12, 2011

SO far I am loving everything about my Durango. It can always use more power which the aftermarket has parts for that. Styling is nice since it stands out in a sea of SUV's. The gas mileage could be better but having the hemi I knew this going into the purchase. I try keep my foot out of it when I can and estimate an average 14-16 mpg per tank. I have gotten around 22 mpg on trips if I keep the speeds down. The stereo is really good for stock and my son loves the dvd player in back with wireless headset, thankyou Dodge. As far as maintenance costs go, I have had it for a few months so no problems to report. There is a small spot in the drivers rear quarter panel that has bubbling paint which is rust, Didn't see this when I bought it but I can get it fixed. This seems to be a prevalent problem with this model. Theres lots of different builds for this modle so find the options you are looking for and look around. You will get more SUV for you money with the Durango than any other make.Dec 01, 2011

Purchase new in 2006 was a dealer Demo car. 5.7L Hemi (4,6,8) AWD, leather, DVD, CD, Dual air, towing pkg. fairly well eqpt. This is my wife's daily ride, she picked it, she drives it.
Runs good, fuel mileage a little lacking at 17 around town and 21 on the highway. Well built, comfortable, taken many trips to the beach in it. Plenty of power, will certainly get out of it's own way!
Has the DVD player which is great for the kids 8 passenger seating lots of room.
As with my other Dodges no repairs other than wear and tear items. Brakes tires etc. Dec 11, 2010

Good truck. Decent gas mileage for an SUV. Lots of space. Easy to maintain, doesnt break down much. Easily accelerates and brakes. There are a few dings and dents, but runs well. It is a great vehicle to drive. Excellent.Aug 19, 2010

PERFECT i have had zero problems with this truck it hasnt let me down and i enjoy driving it. As with all cars once it ages a bit you get the usual lifetime problem and those can be avoided with the regular maintenance stuffJan 29, 2010

2005 Dodge Durango Limited / 5.7L Hemi - auto / 3.55 4WD
The 5.7L Hemi is a great engine. Ever since it came out, I wanted a Mopar with one of these. A Challenger would have been nice, but the wife needed a grocery hauler. So I bought her an SUV that would get her to the store in under 20 seconds.Oct 04, 2009

This SUV is well built and can take everything i have thrown at it. The AWD feature is very nice when you are doing some lite off roading, but the 4 wheel lock is perfect for the Off Roading I do.Jun 13, 2009

Love the 4WD and towing capacity. Leather interior is nice as well as the entertainment system. Gas milage is mediocre at 13 city 18 hwy.
Its fun to drive with its 5.7L hemi.
I would recommend this vehicle to anyone with a need to tow or haul.Jun 26, 2008

Having almost every option is of course nice but the dealer does not seem to be very savvy in this department. Unfortunately for them I actually use all the bells and whistles. When I call with questions after reading the owner's manual no one can seem to help. The SUV itself has really impressed me. We did alot of research and this was the most reliable fully loaded luxurious car in its class. My children enjoy riding in it for short and long trips. I use it mostly around town. We have owned it for 3 months but have taken it to a completely different climate and it handled the change very well. Last week we took it into the mountains and we can hardly wait to take it on ski trips this winter. Aesthetically speaking I would like to have different dash material on the inside. It does not feel and look as nice as lets say the Jeep Grand Cherokee or BMW X5. The only other thing that is easy for me to change and I have is the Black door handles and side mirrors. Body colored or wheel matching gives it a much sleeker look.Sep 06, 2007
